WEAVING - American Flag

My mother-in-law is the most patriotic person I know.  My husband's whole family is patriotic, but she wins at being most patriotic.  (Mom, if you are reading this, I find it a beautiful and admirable trait of yours.  Thank you for being a wonderful example to me and my little family!). For her birthday I wanted to make her a special weaving and the American flag was the first to come to mind.  Overall the design is simple, but the stars threw in a little hiccup for me.  I decided to use beads since there are so many and they are so small.  Plus it would add a little sparkle!  This was my first weaving where I added another medium and it won't be my last.  I love it!  I am happy with the weaving and I am glad I finished it just in time to celebrate our Independence Day.
