DIY - Felt Bats
I am finally decorating for Halloween. I made these felt bats four years ago when we were still living in Idaho and going to college. They were inexpensive and look awesome. Everything has been in storage since then so this year is my first time using them again. My bats are my favorite Halloween decoration (they actually may or may not be my only Halloween decoration) and they are so easy to make! I found my inspiration and bat template from this tutorial. All it takes is a little time, scissors, and felt. To hang the bats I roll tape, put a piece under each wing, and press it firmly onto the wall. Masking tape is not very strong (occasionally I get a bat casualty), but it does not leave any sticky residue on the walls or door. This year I am going to try removable mounting putty. Perhaps the felt will stick to the putty better. Wish me luck!
